Ian holds official qualifications and a coaching membership with Skateboard GB. He's Safeguarding and First Aid trained and has an Updated Enhanced DBS certification.
He has vast experience in skateboard coaching, with a focus on beginner and intermediate skaters. He's worked with people from all backgrounds including neurodiverse groups.
Specialising in new skaters, Ian provides a safe and encouraging environment for anyone who's never skated before, eliminating the fear factor and helping them to build confidence.
At 50 years young, Ian brings a wealth of experience, patience, and understanding to new skaters. He's been through the whole learning process and can relate on a deeper level to beginners who might feel a little intimidated by the sport.
Ian runs skate sessions with a focus on enjoyment, growth, and building a strong foundation. He fosters an environment where skaters can take risks in a safe way, make mistakes, and grow their skill level without feeling pressure.
Sessions are delivered safely using proven techniques to avoid injuries. It's a safe space for people to get out of their comfort zone and develop their self-confidence.
